Checkpoint Systems, Inc. - Canton, OH - Tooling Engineer Main Purpose Work in coordination with Plant Manager to maximize plant performance and to maximize utilization of molds. Summary This position is responsible for maintaining/improving the quality of our tooling, both new and current tooling.This position works closely with manufacturing, process engineering, project engineering, quality, and tool shops to insure tooling is built/repaired to specifications on time and within or below budget. Main Responsibilities [ Direct tool shops and vendors to effect maximum utilization of molds.This includes directing repair and maintenance of molds in a cost effective manner. Complete engineering changes to molds and secondary tooling to improve performance. Take active role in mold design reviews. Have direct involvement in new mold build approval process. Identify and complete improvements to new molds to meet or exceed standards. Utilize CAD and MCR process implement tooling changes. Responsible for technical production proces - Permanent - Full-time
